Conditions of sale furniture, beds and mattresses

A minimum deposit of 25% is required when your order is placed; balances must be paid before delivery. All items purchased and being delivered within 7 days must be paid for in full. It is customers responsibility to confirm and check the order and sign to

confirm all items are as you have requested. Once the order has been placed, amendments/changes by you to your original order will be charged to you in full.

Once your order has arrived we can store it for a maximum of 10 days before delivery, otherwise our storage charges of £10 per day will apply.

 

Our delivery charge is from £49.00 please ask for a quote for your location. We are unable to offer a specific timed delivery service although you can request to be morning or afternoon.

 

You are responsible to ensure adequate access into your home. This also includes removal of any hanging items or ornaments situated around a hall, stairs or narrow spaces.  We must be informed which piece, if any are to be taken up stairs or sets of stairs. We are not liable for any costs incurred by yourself to enable this access into your property.

It is not possible to give an exact date for you to collect or for us to deliver your furniture until it has arrived at our warehouse. We will then contact you to arrange a convenient day for you to collect or if required for us to deliver to you.

Should you need to cancel your delivery, this must be made 2 working days before your allocated delivery date, otherwise there may be a cancellation charge of £49 billed to you

Mattress disposal

We offer a disposal service from £49. When we are disposing of your old mattress, it is your responsibility to ensure that your old mattress has been placed into the mattress disposal bag, which we provided to you at time of purchase. Ensure the bag is securely sealed, this is to avoid cross contamination of microbes.

Where possible we will give you an estimated manufacturers delivery timescale however this will be subject to change beyond our control.

If we are made aware of any changes we will advise you accordingly.

On delivery of your goods we will dispose of any packaging and within reasonable access or timescale place your piece of furniture in one desired location.

Furniture characteristics

Furniture manufactured from natural materials (ie leather & wood) will have an individual appearance and may have a slight variance in colour and texture.

Leather furniture will display natural characteristics such as scarring and variations in grain.

Solid wood furniture will display a variation on grain, knots and there may also be colour variations.

Some fabrics may show shading, this is a natural characteristic. It can be more apparent on plain fabric because heavy patterns may disguise the effect.

Regular turning of seats and cushions will enhance the longevity of your upholstered furniture.

A mattress should be turned regularly in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

Furniture that requires building

Flat pack furniture can be assembled by us if required at an extra cost relevant to the time scale required for the item. Unfortunately this service does not include bed frames or wardrobes, due to the nature of the product requirements.

Regrettably self-assembly and flat pack furniture cannot be accepted for return once  assembly has commenced,  unless the product proves to be defective.

Payments

Payment can be made by cash, card, bank transfer (please contact us for details) or finance. If paying by cheque delivery will only be scheduled once funds have been cleared. All cheque payments for our furniture and bed collections must be made out to Carpetwise Interiors Ltd

Refunds and Exchange

Although it is our policy not to give cash refunds, we will gladly exchange goods or issue credit notes, providing that goods are in original packing and in good condition. We regret that we are unable to accept returns of items which have been made especially for you in your own choice of colour and combination, or items that have been made or cut down to size as they have specifications selected by you and have been ordered at your request.

Eligible returns must be made with your receipt and within 28 days from date of purchase.

Your statutory rights are not affected.
